The Cracchiolo Law Library hosted a panel discussion on November 18, 2024, titled Lives in the Law and the Importance of Oral History. The discussion was centered on a newly accessible oral history collection, Lives in the Law, detailing what a life after law school looks like from those who entered the legal profession. The broader importance of oral histories was also discussed.
Featured speakers included: Toni Massaro, Dean Emerita and Regents Professor of Law, University of Arizona; Aengus Anderson, Oral Historian & Digital Media Producer, University of Arizona Libraries; and Berlin Loa, Associate Professor of Practice and Knowledge River Program Manager, University of Arizona College of Information Science.
The Cracchiolo Law Library's Archivist, Jaime Valenzuela, lead the discussion. The event was co-sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship for Diversity, Inclusion & Cultural Heritage and was endorsed by the Arizona Law Student Bar Association.
